It is the start of the Nutcracker performance weekends. The next two weeks will be really crazy for Big C.
She has to be in Suffolk today at 4:30 for an all night spacing and dress rehearsal. I am working back stage and David is staying home with Little C.
Last night Big C came to inform me that she needed new ballet shoes because they dyed hers grey for her role as a rat and she needs pink shoes for her china ribbon role.
This only helped convince me more to allow her to skip school today. Just so I didn't have to drive all the way to VB to pick her up from school, then back home to Norfolk, then all the way to Suffolk during rush hour traffic.
She isn't objecting but I am feeling a tad guilty.....
Well at least I didn't have to sew the shoes :)

SHE'S A GIRL
A few days ago Little C and I decided to venture out to Lynnhaven Mall before picking up Big C from school.
I was so excited to push her around in her stroller because she loves sitting in it like a big girl now. We were shopping for a special gift for her big sissy.
We were in a store and the women trying to help us kept saying "aww..baby..blah blah blah" when out of her mouth came "He already has such a little old man face!" WHAT??!!!??!!!
Mind you, she was wearing a brown shirt with a pink bird and hot pink pants.
Next time we go out, she will wear this hair band - just to stop any confusion :)

Young Mama, Old Mama
I'm starting a blog! Do I need anymore computer interaction....well I guess I think of it as my social interaction.
I hope to use this blog to portray what life is like being both a young mom and an old mom.
Background:
I had my first daughter "Big C" when I was 20 years and 20 days old. I will be 38 when she leaves for college.
I had my second daughter "Little C" when I was 32 years old.
I was in college when I had Big C and not married :) I guess some might think this would be hard, but she was the very best thing to ever happen to me. She inspired me to get my college degree, sit for the CPA exam, and most importantly to live a happy and full life. Lead by example....I hope I am doing that. My Big C is approaching teenage years quite quickly!
Little C came around in a more traditional way. I met a boy one night who offered to let me wear his coat because it was cold. Three and a half years later we were engaged, a year after that married, and one year after that Little C came into the world. My Little C is approaching five months!
